We think it's a good choice for staying in Torquay. The host upon arrival was friendly. A great selection of food at full English breakfast. Furthermore, the parking was on site and convenient.

atmosphere was warm here. las iguanas, where you can eat, is just walking distance from the hotel. free wi-fi was available too.
There's bad smell in some areas.

Loved the place, fantastic stay. The rooms were very clean. When we came, the owner met us and was helpful. Hotel is centrally situated to explore Torquay. Would definitely book again and recommend it.

The owners of the hotel were extremely welcoming and friendly. Very keen to recommend things to do and nice places to eat. Also, the hotel was located within easy reach of everything and a taxi to the harbour was only £3, bargain

A lovely little BandB, just a short walk (up a small hill) from the centre and seafront. Very well maintained. Delicious homecooked breakfast. Very warm welcome. Perfect.

The owners were lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. The breakfast was far superior to that of many other small hotels with everything freshly cooked, to order and to your particular liking E.g Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs cooked firm or slightly runny and with a very high quality of ingredients. The rooms were co-ordinated and decorated beautifully with lovely added touches such as for refreshments as many types of tea as anyone would want and the fresh cotton bathrobes in the wardrobe. The bed was extremely comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought has been given by the owners into providing their guests with all they could want and I would definately visit here again.

The staff were a lovely friendly couple who were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The room was quiet, peaceful and luxurious, the huge stone bath was a relaxing treat.

Excellent location near to town centre but on a quiet street. Everything about the hotel was excellent from the welcome where local maps were explained and local restaurants recommended, breakfast and service were superb and the rooms were exactly as described in the literature. A thoroughly pleasant stay and I would not hesitate to recommend the Hillcroft.
